OK prospectors, Here's the scoop.

The perpetual dig seems to be the the priority for those of you who are wanting to do something other than panning and sluicing.

We have a unique expierience for those who want to go for the historic aspects of hunting for gold.
The perpetual dig put's you in the placer pit, where you are open to use any tools you have to find the potential holder of the gold. We will put you in the placer pit, show you where the veins are, allow you to use any tools at your disposal (we'll even rent youi a Gold Bug II), you find and dig the material (usually a quartz vein), You take it to the processing area where you wash the quartz, use the crusher to crush that quartz, then you use the pulvirizer to make the material even smaller, take thast material and run it on the shaker table, Pan the rusults, and keep all the gold you find. You'll be doing just like we do as professaional miners, just on a smaller scale. The more skilll you have the more gold you find. Some teams are pulling several grams of gold a day out of the pit. Some have been skunked and still comment that it was the greatest expierience they have done. Most have a good return for their investiment, others admit the didn't listen to the directions and were disaponted in their findings. In gereneral it is the best activity that we offer, the chance to actually mine the plaser pit like to old time prospectors did back in the 1800's, however you get to use the moderen equipment available to youi.
